Italian Herb & Parmesan Bread

Over the weekend I caught a Betty Crocker bug. I don't know what came over me - but it was homemade cookin' all over the place. One of our favorites was this Italian Herb & Parmesan Bread.

It's a bread machine recipe, AKA easy cooking at it's finest - and I had every single ingredient in the cupboard. This bread was easy peasy - throw in the wet ingredients, throw in the dry ingredients, make a well for the yeast, and press start!

·  1 ¼ cups water
·  1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
·  1 teaspoon salt
·  3 ½ cups bread flour
·  2 teaspoons sugar
·  1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
·  ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
·  2 teaspoons dried onion flakes
·  ½ teaspoon dried basil
·  ½ teaspoon garlic powder or 1 teaspoon dried garlic flakes
·  2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Add all liquid ingredients to bread pan. Add all dry ingredients, except yeast, to bread pan. Make a well in dry ingredients and carefully add yeast. Choose your crust color, if applicable. Press start!

Our loaf baked for 3 hrs., 10 minutes, but that was the automatic time entry for the "medium" crust option. I'd advise to let it bake for as long as the machine suggests when selecting those settings.
